2. HOW DO WE PROCESS YOUR INFORMATION?
In Short: We process your information to provide and administer our Services, communicate with you, for security and fraud prevention, and to comply with law. If we need to process your information for a new purpose for which consent is required, we will obtain your consent.

3. WHAT LEGAL BASES DO WE RELY ON TO PROCESS YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?
In Short: We process personal information only when we have a valid legal basis under applicable law, such as consent, performance of a contract, compliance with a legal obligation, or legitimate interests.
If you are located in the EU or UK, this section applies to you.
We may rely on the following legal bases:
- Consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time by using the contact form on the main page or by emailing [TODO].
- Contract. We may process your information to provide requested services or fulfill an order.
- Legal Obligations. We may process your information where necessary to comply with legal obligations (including cooperating with law enforcement or regulators).
- Legitimate Interests. We may process your information where necessary for our legitimate interests, provided those interests do not override your rights and freedoms (for example, to keep our Services secure).
4. WHEN AND WITH WHOM DO WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?
In Short: We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose limited personal information to service providers that help us operate the Services (such as web hosting) and process payments, and to public authorities when legally required.

In Short: We are not responsible for the safety of any information that you share with third parties that we may link to or that advertise on our Services, but are not affiliated with, our Services.
6. DO WE USE COOKIES AND OTHER TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES?
In Short: Yes. We use a small number of cookies. Strictly necessary cookies keep
the site, the shopping cart and your consent choice working. Analytics cookies
are used only if you agree to them.
We use cookies and similar technologies (including browser local storage) on
www.eslebooks.com. A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you
visit a website. “Session” cookies are deleted when you close your browser;
“persistent” cookies remain for a set period.
We ask for your consent through a cookie banner. Optional cookies, and the
scripts that create them, are blocked until you select “Accept All”, or enable
the relevant category under “Preferences”. Rejecting optional cookies does not
restrict your access to the website or prevent you from buying our products.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the “Cookie Settings”
link in the footer of every page. Withdrawing consent stops new optional cookies
being set; it does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before
withdrawal. You can also delete cookies already stored on your device through
your browser settings.
We use the following cookies:
Strictly necessary (always active; no consent required)
- WordPress / WooCommerce session cookies (for example woocommerce_cart_hash,
woocommerce_items_in_cart, wp_woocommerce_session_*): keep your cart and
checkout working and remember your session. Session duration; removed when
your session ends or after 2 days. - surecookie_session_id: records your cookie choice so we do not ask you again
and can demonstrate your consent. 12 months. - __cf_bm (Cloudflare): bot management and security filtering. 30 minutes.
Analytics and measurement (set only with your consent)
- sbjs_migrations, sbjs_current_add, sbjs_first_add, sbjs_current, sbjs_first,
sbjs_udata (WooCommerce order attribution): record how you reached our store
so we can see which channels lead to orders. Session to 6 months. - sbjs_session: session-level attribution data. 30 minutes.
- tk_ai (Jetpack / WooCommerce Analytics): anonymised usage statistics about how
the store is used. 12 months. - _tccl_visitor, _tccl_visit (GoDaddy traffic analytics): visitor and session
identifiers, pages viewed, referring site, approximate region. 12 months and
30 minutes respectively.
We do not use cookies for advertising, remarketing, cross-site behavioural
profiling, or to sell or share personal information with data brokers.
If we introduce new cookies, or change the purpose of an existing one, we will
update this section and, where required, ask for your consent again.
Do-Not-Track: we do not currently respond to browser DNT signals because no
uniform standard has been adopted. Where you have consented to analytics, you can
withdraw that consent at any time as described above.
7. HOW DO WE HANDLE YOUR SOCIAL LOGINS?
In Short: You can check out as a guest. If you choose to create an account, we
store the information needed to give you access to your purchases, and you can
ask us to delete the account at any time.
Creating an account is optional. You can complete a purchase as a guest without
registering. If you create one, or if you are a returning customer and log in, we
process the following in addition to the information described in Section 1:
- Account data: first name, last name, email address, and a securely hashed
password (we never store your password in readable form). - Order and billing data: billing address, company name if you provide one, order

- Purchase and download history: which products you bought and when you accessed
or downloaded them. - Technical data: IP address and timestamps of account creation, login and
password reset, kept for security and fraud prevention. - Why we process it: to create and administer your account, give you permanent
- access to products you have purchased, let you re-download them, process refunds
- and handle support requests, prevent fraud and unauthorised access, and meet our
- legal and tax obligations.
- Legal bases (EU/UK): performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b)) for the account,
- purchases and downloads; legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) for security,
- fraud prevention and keeping basic records, which do not override your rights;
- legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)) for tax and accounting records.
- Retention: account data is kept while your account is active. Order and invoice
- records are retained for as long as tax and accounting law requires and are then
- archived offline for that purpose only. Security logs are kept for up to 12
- months. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.
- Deleting your account: you can request deletion from within “My Account” or by
- emailing [INSERT CONTACT EMAIL]. We will close the account and delete or
- anonymise the data that is not subject to a legal retention obligation. Records
- we must keep for tax or accounting purposes are retained for that purpose and
- are not used for anything else. Deletion normally completes within 30 days.
- We do not offer or support social logins. We do not use account data for
- marketing unless you separately opt in, and you can opt out at any time from the
- account settings or by contacting us.
- Account data is accessible to our hosting and payment providers strictly as
- needed to operate the store (see Section 4), and is not sold or shared for
- advertising.
8. HOW DO WE HANDLE YOUR SOCIAL LOGINS?
We do not request or use your social logins.
9. IS YOUR INFORMATION TRANSFERRED INTERNATIONALLY?

10. HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION?
In Short: We keep your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this privacy notice unless otherwise required by law.
We retain legal entity name and email address offline for tax purposes only, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.
11. HOW DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION SAFE?
In Short: We aim to protect your personal information through a system of organizational and technical security measures.
However, no electronic transmission over the Internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.
12. DO WE COLLECT INFORMATION FROM MINORS?
In Short: We do not knowingly collect data from or market to children under 18 years of age.
If we learn that personal information from users less than 18 years of age has been collected, we will take reasonable measures to promptly delete such data from our records.
13. WHAT ARE YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS?
Briefly: In some regions, such as the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom (UK), and Canada, you have rights that allow you greater access to and control over your personal information. Creating an account is optional and you may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.
Where applicable law provides you with rights, those rights may include requesting access to, a copy of, rectification of, erasure of, or restriction of processing of your personal information, and (where applicable) data portability and objection. You can make such a request by contacting us using the details in Section 17.

If you have questions or comments about your privacy rights, you may email us at [TODO].
14. CONTROLS FOR DO-NOT-TRACK FEATURES
Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track (“DNT”) feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. At this stage no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. However, it should be noted that we do not track your activity beyond session-level operation of the Services. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this privacy notice.
15. DO CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS HAVE SPECIFIC PRIVACY RIGHTS?
In Short: Yes, if you are a resident of California, you are granted specific rights regarding access to your personal information.
